Chris is the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FSL Capital, He brings over 25 years of experience in investment banking to the role. Throughout his extensive career, Mr. Okenwa has made significant contributions to various financial institutions, showcasing his versatility as both a banker and an investment adviser. Mr. Okenwa began his banking career in 1983 with Continental Merchant Bank Plc (CMB). His is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, 1995 and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers in 1997. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Edo State University (now Ambrose Ali University) in 2007. During his tenure at CMB, Mr. Okenwa was seconded to Nigerian International Securities Limited (NISL), the stockbroking arm of CMB, where he played an active role in the bank's capital market activities and privatization offers. After leaving CMB in 1995, he joined Capital Bancorp Limited, a leading investment banking firm. At Capital Bancorp, he served as Head of Stockbroking Operations and later as Head of the Investment/Portfolio Management Unit until 2001.

In 2001, Mr. Okenwa transitioned to Magnum Trust Bank Plc (now Sterling Bank Plc) as the Head of the Investment Banking Department. As the pioneer head of the bank’s Investment Banking division, he laid the foundation for its future success. He continued in this role until the end of 2003, when he joined FSL Capital Limited. Mr. Okenwa's journey with FSL Capital Limited began in 2004 as Head of Corporate Finance. His leadership skills and dedication led to his promotion to Chief Operating Officer in 2007, and he eventually rose to the position of Chief Executive Officer. Throughout his career, Mr. Okenwa served the Association of Issuing Houses of Nigeria (AIHN) for 10 years, holding key roles such as:

• Director of Administration (2006 – 2012)
• Director of Finance (2012 – 2016)

In addition to his extensive professional experience, Mr. Okenwa is currently the vice chairman of Industry, Trade & Investment committee of the Institute of Directors (IoD). He has participated in various training programs both locally and internationally, further honing his expertise. On a personal note, Mr. Okenwa is blessed with a beautiful wife and three lovely children.
